bark in maple 100c.JPG

Our wood is sourced from fallen, up-cycled, repurposed or sustainable materials. We honour the wood’s natural shape to reduce waste, design a style unique to its beauty, cut & hand craft to shape and sand to a finely finished one-of-kind product. A combination of food grade mineral oil and beeswax is applied to make them servable. These boards are durable enough for cutting and serving cheese or breads, elegant enough as serving boards and beautiful enough to hang on your walls or as centre pieces on your dining room table. Cutting boards made from hardwood maple are a perfect addition to any kitchen.

All boards are handcrafted in Burlington, Ontario from a variety of woods, each with its own unique design complete with knots and curves. Each piece is lovingly and meticulously carved and sculptured with a keen eye on aesthetics thereby producing a durable and quality heirloom. Depending on the source wood used, some may come complete with live edge bark or knots, yet all reflect the organic beauty, colour, and nature’s anomalies found in natural wood.

Before using for the first time, wash with a mild detergent and warm water and rinse immediately. Towel dry and let it finish air drying. Do not immerse in water, ever, as this may warp or crack your board. ALL boards are NOT dishwasher safe.

Each board is pre-seasoned and coated with 3 to 4  applications of our food grade mineral oil and beeswax. To maintain the sheen and prevent drying or cracking, please re-oil your board monthly with food grade wood conditioner. This helps maintain an attractive finish, prevents cracking, and seals the grain against bacteria and the penetration of moisture.  See our care section for complete directions.
